Every day is full of transformations: weight loss, new jobs, new relationships etc. Everyone's story is different. By reading about someone else's success story, you may be inspired to change your life as well.

For example, if you are reading a new diet book, make sure you carefully read the success stories they have. Read them and determine how their stories resemble yours. Is the person married or single like you? Does he or she have children? Does he or she work? How did he or she make the program work in their lives? Does the person have health-issues that are the same as yours?

By reading these success stories carefully you can also find out what didn't work. As we all know, change is not always permanent. Many people undergo many transformations: weight loss can become weight gain once the program is stopped. One caution: be wary of success stories that show photographs. Many weight-loss products use camera tricks to make these transformations. Weight loss is actually weight digitally removed by the photographer. Sometimes, the "before" photograph was actually taken months after the "after" photo, when the super-slim model added a few pounds on purpose. Or the model may have simply worn heavier clothes or posed in such a way so as to look larger for the "before" picture

There is no shortage of weight-loss success stories. Every magazine, diet book, weight-loss website and program has countless stories. If they inspire you, save them in a special file for you to read on the days that are less than successful. You will feel better when you read them, especially if your challenges are much less than theirs. If someone lost 100 lbs, you won't feel so bad about having to lose 50. If they gained 50 lbs from having been pregnant, you will feel better about having gained 30.
